The Goffstown Select Board will conduct a second Public Hearing in accordance with NH RSA 41:14-b on 02/24/2025 at 6:30 pm at Goffstown Town Hall, 16 Main Street, Goffstown, NH to accept public input on proposed ordinances.
- Noise Prevention Ordinance of the Town of Goffstown, NH
- Noise Prevention Ordinance was originally adopted 05/22/1997. The Select Board are reformatting the Ordinance.
- The Board also seeks to amend the noise prevention ordinance to prohibit motor vehicle from using any mechanical exhaust or decompression device which results in the practice known as “engine-braking”.
- No Parking During School Hours on Albert Street, Cross Street, Higgins Street, and Plummer Street Ordinance
- When enacted this ordinance would cause installation of no parking signs and prohibit a driver of any vehicle from parking such vehicle on Albert Street, Cross Street, Higgins Street, and Plummer Street during School Hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
- Stop Sign on Brien Road at the intersection of Back Mountain Road Ordinance
- When enacted this ordinance would cause the installation of a Stop Sign and require all drivers to stop on Brien Road at Back Mountain Road at all times.
Copies of the proposed ordinances are available online or in the Town Clerk’s Office. The Select Board is scheduled to vote on these proposed ordinances on 03/10/2025.
