The Town of Goffstown is seeking a volunteer to fill one (1) vacancy on the Goffstown Cemetery Trustees. The Goffstown Select Board will appoint the selected volunteer to fill the remainder of the vacant term (2024-2027) until Town Meeting in 2027 in accordance with NH RSA 289:6.
The Goffstown Cemetery Trustees is an elected board of three (3) members that are responsible for the care and maintenance of Goffstown’s municipal cemeteries; Westlawn Cemetery, Hillside Cemetery, and Shirley Hill Cemetery. The Goffstown Cemetery Trustees have established rules and regulations, and work with the Cemetery Division of Goffstown Public Works to prepare a budget every year, prepare the deeds or right to inter, and maintain the cemeteries.
Those interested in being appointed to the Cemetery Trustees to fill the remainder of the vacant term (2024-2027) should submit a Volunteer Application Form for Town Committees and Commissions no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 09/26/25. The Volunteer Application Form can be found on the Town website at: www.goffstownnh.gov/FormCenter/Volunteer-Application-8/Volunteer-Application-49 or at Town Hall during normal business hours, (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
The Goffstown Select Board will consider submissions and any recommendation from the Cemetery Trustees in October 2025 and will appoint in accordance with NH RSA 289.6.
